Steps for Creating and Publishing Your First Website

To create and publish your first website, follow the steps below.

Activate Your Account

  1. Click the link in the verification email to activate your account.

Using the Shifter Dashboard

  1. Log in to the Shifter Dashboard.
  2. Click “Add New.”

Installing and Configuring WordPress

  1. Go to the “APP URL” and complete the WordPress installation.
  2. Log in to WordPress.
  3. Create posts and pages, and write comments.
  4. Log out of WordPress (don’t forget to save your changes).

Generating and Publishing Your Site

  1. In the Shifter dashboard, click “Stop WordPress.”
  2. Click “Deploy.”
  3. When you visit the published URL, your WordPress content will be displayed—without WordPress!
