Freshchat Integration

Requirements:

  • Freshchat account
  • Freshchat widget code
  • Freshchat WordPress plugin

1. Create a Freshworks Account

  • https://www.freshworks.com/
  • Select Freshchat
  • Complete the sign-up process
  • Complete the initial setup
  • Select WordPress
  • Click [Copy Code], then click [Go for Team] to complete this step

2. Launch WordPress and add the copied code snippet

  • Log in to the Shifter dashboard: https://go.getshifter.io/
  • Launch WordPress and log in
  • Install the Freshchat plugin from the Plugins page
  • Go to the [Freshchat] menu
  • Under “Freshchat is,” select [Enabled]
  • Paste the code snippet and save your changes

3. Generating and deploying an artifact

  • Build the artifact and verify that the Freshchat widget is working
