Access to WordPress was denied. Please make sure the JSON REST API is enabled on your site.
Causes
This may be because Shifter was unable to connect to WordPress via the JSON REST API (WP-API).
- The JSON REST API (WP-API) is disabled
- A theme or plugin is blocking this API connection
Impact
Passwordless login and the Generator are only available if Shifter can connect to your site via this JSON REST API
(WP-API).
Solution
After logging into the WordPress dashboard, enable the JSON REST API (WP-API).
Please log in using one of the following methods:
- Log in with your WordPress username and password
- Log in as an emergency user
- Update your theme or plugins to allow Shifter to connect via this API
