DNS configuration is a notoriously complicated topic, this includes pointing your custom domain to the place you want your visitors to end up. All paid Shifter plans allow you to attach a custom domain. Since this is a feature that affects many of our users, we’ve been working hard to make sure this is the easiest and least confusing process possible

We’ve updated the dashboard screen, making it easier to read and broken down the attachment process into steps that can easily be understood. We’ve also added helpful statuses and tooltips to give our users a better idea of what’s going on with their domain

The actual under the hood process of how domains are attached to Shifter sites hasn’t changed, but we hope that with these design updates you’ll be able to attach new domains to your sites with ease. These changes are all the result of customer feedback!
