Preparing for: On Demand Dev with Docker and WordPress

Daniel Olson | June 11, 2018

This week we are very excited to be hosting our first workshop ever at WordCamp Europe.

This workshop; On Demand Dev with Docker and WordPress, will cover using WordPress within a local development using Docker. This is an introductory workshop and from what we can tell, there are a lot of first time Docker users. It’s also fully booked!

To prep ahead of time, we wanted to send out the getting started guide and a few tips to ensure things go smoothly the day of.

There are three requirements for this workshop. First, have Docker installed. Second, install Docker Compose. Third, don’t fear the command line.

During this workshop, we’ll be using the Docker CLI. It’s entirely used on the command line in Terminal if you’re Mac OS or PuTTY if you’re on Windows.

If this is all new to you’re in good hands. We are going to take this workshop line by line to cover the basics and get you started.

We look forward to seeing everyone at WCEU! If you have any questions let us know on Twitter.
